How I Got a Life!

I was born when Lindbergh flew the Atlantic. Please don't figure it out! I was raised in a strict Protestant home, so that explains why my theme song is, "Don't fence me in!" I remember riding in a crowded bus in Africa, loud music blaring away to attract more riders, chickens under feet and goats on top, chortling at the thought, "If Mother could see me now!"

Early on, I spent my free time (when not dusting), studying piano, roller skating and climbing over neighbors' fences to swipe flowers.

I was a scholar of sorts, actually finishing all required studies and attending several universities to cram my head full of music notes, science courses and strange foreign languages.

I married a fellow musician at 19, raised four children, then enrolled in the Peace Corps at age 55 - where my travel story begins.

Inside you'll find my professional background, My Peace Corps assignment to Pakistan, humor such as my attempt to date after a divorce, and inspirational ideas that have given me freedom and sense of adventure.

My resume.

What is Your Project?
I'm happiest when I have a project. In my younger days I felt unimportant, just talking baby-talk to my children and doing the routine housework. Well . . meet the new me!
